The Haber Charitable Trust
The Haber Charitable Trust was founded in 2007 by Lee and Caroline Portnoi. The Trust has continued to fund capital projects in health and education in the UK, however since 2010 Haber has focused its efforts on providing health, water and education projects to rural communities in Ethiopia.
In 2016, in response to the severe drought devastating Ethiopia, Haber extended its support to provide emergency food aid through a program at local schools. With this basic food supply, children continued their education and families were supported.
In 2018, Haber is focussing on funding an extensive water programme, which will bring fresh water supplies to many of the rural communities in which Haber has already built schools.
This website is dedicated to all of Haber’s past and continued work in Ethiopia.
